Synchrotron Sample Characterization
We are an isotope lab but we value data from other techniques for gaining a better understanding of the system. Synchrotron XRF imaging provides context for geochronology. Uranium XANES (X-ray adsorption near edge spectroscopy) and EXAFS (Extended X-ray Adsorption Fine-edge Structure) give information on redox state and how U substitutes in a mineral.
